With just a few days to go, the great challenges of cycling, combined with the stunning landscapes of the Euregio territories of Tirol, Südtirol/Alto Adige, and Trentino, are ready to captivate audiences around the globe. The 49th Tour of the Alps will begin on Monday, April 20th in Innsbruck, and is set to be one of the most unpredictable and compelling events of the spring cycling season.
The event will conclude on Friday, April 24th in Bozen/Bolzano, and will be broadcast in over 100 Countries worldwide, with two hours of live TV coverage each day. This is made possible through a multi-year partnership with Infront, a global leader in sports marketing and media rights management, handling the event's media rights, marketing and TV production.
RAI and ORF will serve as the host broadcasters in Italy and Austria respectively, alongside Eurosport, which will deliver coverage across Europe and Asia including on the HBO Max/Discovery+ and TNT Sports channels for the United Kingdom. FloSports will broadcast the event in the United States and Canada, and X-Sports will do the same for Brazilian audiences. The Tour of the Alps will also be broadcast in France, Monaco and Andorra on L’Équipe TV and in Israel on Sports5. Furthermore, EBU News will distribute race highlights across Europe, while NOS will cover the event in the Netherlands.
There will be daily live coverage from 13:30 to 15:30 CEST, except for Stage 3 on Wednesday, April 22nd, which will air from 12:30 to 14:30 CEST.
For the second consecutive year, Infront will manage the host broadcast production directly, ensuring comprehensive and dynamic coverage of the entire route.
Aerial footage will be captured via helicopter-mounted Cineflex camera systems, on-bike and motorbike cameras, and strategically placed fixed cameras to follow every phase of the race. An advanced RF system supported by a relay aircraft will guarantee signal continuity, even across the most challenging sections of the course. In total, around 800 km of racing will be covered, with over 500 minutes of live broadcasting supported by a team of approximately 30 production professionals.
"The Tour of the Alps continues to establish itself as an increasingly strong and attractive platform from both media and commercial standpoints. With international distribution reaching over 100 Countries, in-house production ensures consistent, high-quality storytelling. In 2026, the ecosystem will expand further with the addition of 18 sponsors and the introduction of the Bonus Sprint, which will enhance the event’s value for partners, territories and audiences alike. Our goal is to make the Tour of the Alps an even more complete and competitive product — one that combines sporting spectacle, global visibility and value for territories and brands,” said Stefano Deantoni, Marketing Director at Infront Italy.
