Tour of the Alps to unveil 2026 course in Milan on November 13th
The route and first highlights of the 49th Tour of the Alps, which will take place from April 20th to 24th, 2026, will be officially presented in Milan in just a few days’ time. This edition marks the tenth anniversary of the Euro-regional project
The prestigious Areapergolesi Events venue in Milan, Italy, will host the first official presentation of the 2026 Tour of the Alps. On Thursday, November 13th at 6.00 p.m., the routes of the five stages of the 2026 edition will be unveiled to authorities, partners, stakeholders and international media.
The #TotA is gearing up for the edition marking ten years since the agreement that gave birth to the project symbolizing the euro-regional alliance Tirol–Südtirol/Alto Adige–Trentino, with its traditional five days of racing scheduled from April 20th to 24th, 2026.
Following the success of the 2025 edition, the Tour of the Alps is ready to unveil a new chapter. Once again, the roads of the Euregio will welcome many of the world’s top stage race contenders for a competition that blends sport and territory. Tirol, Südtirol/Alto Adige and Trentino have truly earned their place in the world of top-level cycling in recent years — from the 2018 Innsbruck World Championships to the 2021 Trento European Championships, and looking ahead to the 2031 UCI multi-discipline World Championships, which will see twenty rainbow jerseys awarded in Trentino.
The Tour of the Alps continues to build on the momentum and emotions experienced last April. Despite losing the Melinda Green Jersey to Australian Michael Storer in the thrilling finale in Lienz, Thymen Arensman displayed remarkable sportsmanship, bringing one of the most exciting and hard-fought editions of the race to a close. And who could forget Italian Giulio Ciccone’s impressive performance in the opening stage in San Lorenzo Dorsino? This was a prelude to a standout season for the Italian rider, who came second in Liège–Bastogne–Liège, claimed victory at the San Sebastián Classic and led the Italian national team at the UCI Road World Championships in Rwanda.
The Tour of the Alps has come a long way: champions have left their mark on its roll of honour; its innovative format of short, spectacular and unpredictable stages has set a new standard; and continuous investments in safety, the honour of hosting the AIOCC General Assembly in Italy for the first time, and a major boost in promotion and global TV distribution — highlighted by the partnership with Infront Sports & Media — have raised the event’s international profile. The latest edition generated over €17 million in media value worldwide, confirming its global status.
Sport Alto Garda, the event’s organiser, is looking to the future with ambition. This tenth anniversary marks not the end of the road, but the beginning of a new chapter in the event’s development. Once again, the Euregio’s roads are set to play host to world-class cycling, offering fans five of the most exciting days on the spring racing calendar.
