A22 Brenner Motorway and Tour of the Alps continue their journey together in 2023

The promotional video for the Euro-regional event is being shown in all 20 service areas of the A22, emphasizing a collaboration that continues in 2023, focused on ecological transition and road safety

A22 Brenner Motorway and Tour of the Alps are set to share the road again in 2023. Since a few weeks, MoveTV screens in all 20 service areas of the A22 have been displaying the promotional video announcing the upcoming Euro-regional stage race from April 17th to April 21st, crossing through Tirol, Südtirol/Alto Adige and Trentino

The three regions are brought together by the A22, which extends beyond the 314 kilometers of the highway and effectively bridges Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. This is the foundation of the strong connection between the company and the stage race, as emphasized by A22 CEO Diego Cattoni: "We feel naturally close to this wonderful sports project that grows every year, affirming the common sentiment of the territories belonging to the Euregio, for which the A22 Brenner Motorway is the main communication route. Connecting incredible places like the Tour of the Alps and like A22 Brenner Motorway do also means uniting different identities and habits."

Following a successful 2022, with results even better than the pre-Covid year of 2019, A22 Brenner Motorway continues to prioritize ecological transition, with safety, digitalization, and sustainability being key themes. The company is developing the first "Green Corridor" in Europe, a zero-emissions and zero-accidents highway axis. The corridor already has 25 electric vehicle charging stations and 32 Tesla charging columns, and the company plans to build five additional green hydrogen refueling centers along with Bolzano's, the first of its kind in Italy.

A22 also promotes road safety among young students through seminars held in all provinces crossed by the motorway. This initiative is a collaboration with the Traffic Police and focuses on the critical issue of responsible driving. The message of road safety will also be conveyed at the Tour of the Alps, where it will reach a broader audience of participants and attendees.

"The support of A22 Brenner Motorway gives our event even greater significance and relevancy,” GS Alto Garda President Giacomo Santini said. “We feel honored to be able to share its vision and objectives, which will shape the future of Europe. In this way, a major sports event can go beyond its competitive aspect, conveying important messages to its participants."
