Tour of the Alps starts on Monday: all traffic closures in the Euregio

In view of the cycling race from April 19th to 23rd, Tirol, South Tyrol, and Trentino’s authorities have announced the measures for road closures and traffic changes on the days of the event.

As the start of Brixen/Bressanone on Monday April 19th approaches, the Tirol government authorities, and the ones of the Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, have issued traffic suspension orders during the event’s transit.

For stages 1, 3 and 4, scheduled for Monday 19th, Wednesday 21st and Thursday, April 22nd, the authorities of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano have issued an order to suspend the traffic, in both directions, on all roads crossed by the race, at least 40 minutes before the passage of the start vehicle and until the passage of the closing vehicle.

For stages 1, 2 and 3 on Monday, 19th, Tuesday, 20th and Wednesday, April 21st, the Tyrolean authorities have issued an order to suspend the traffic in both directions on all roads crossed by the race for at least 40 minutes before the passage of the start vehicle and until the passage of the closing vehicle.

For stages 4 and 5, scheduled for Thursday, April 22nd and Friday, April 23rd, the authorities of the Autonomous Province of Trento have issued an order to suspend the traffic in the opposite direction to the cyclists’ direction 60 minutes before the times indicated in the timesheets, and 30 minutes in the direction of travel in advance of the times indicated in the timesheets.

For stage 5 to take place on Friday, April 23rd, the road SS240 will be closed in Riva del Garda’s direction upstream of the tunnel entrance at the intersection with the SP 234 Pregasina.
