The Tour of the Alps leader's jersey turns to Green

Two changes for the euro-regional stage race’s official jerseys (April 19-23): the overall leader will don the Green jersey, while the King of Mountain will wear the Light-Blue jersey. Colors confirmed for the Youth (white) and Intermediate Sprints (red) leaders

With less than three weeks to the start in Brixen/Bressanone, Tour of the Alps unveiled a big change for the 2021 edition, to be held from April 19th to 23rd. The fuchsia jersey, the legacy of the 40 years of the Giro del Trentino, is now to be taken over by the new Green jersey – Melinda, which will shine on the shoulders of the #TotA overall leader from April 19th.

Indeed, this is one of two changes among the Tour of the Alps official leaders’ jerseys, designed and crafted by Italian MS Tina. Along with the GC leader, also the King of the Mountains will don a new color in 2021, as the best climber’s classification will wear the new Light Blue jersey – Gruppo Cassa Centrale.

As in the past, the best youngster will wear the White jersey – Würth MODYF, whilst the leader of the intermediate sprints will be awarded the Red jersey – PMG Sport.

In designing the new leader’s jersey, MS Tina was inspired by the Tour of the Alps’ official graphical team, which has made green its key color since the start of the new project. Green has a symbolic meaning for the Tour of the Alps, identifying the philosophy of an event that made environmental awareness one of its core foundational values, sharing the same spirit of the Euro-Regional collaboration.

Founded in Riese Pio X (Veneto, Italy) by former French pro rider Marcel Tinazzi in 1986, MS Tina produces high-quality sports clothing, 100% Made in Italy, thanks to the attention to detail and innovative technological solutions.
