Good morning from the 2019 Tour of the Alps. The euro-regional event is ready to leave Tyrol crossing the Italian/Austrian border to get to South Tyrol with the race’s queen stage, the second (Reith im Alpbachtal-Scena/Schenna, 178,7 Km). The peloton will face the highest peak of the Tour of the Alps, Passo Giovo/Jaufenpass (2094 mt.), before approaching the explosive final hill in Schenna’s Schlossweg. In all probability, the finish in Scena/Schenna will not crowned the new TotA winner, but this stage will unveil the names of the riders that have not a chance to compete for the final win.
After the beautiful attack of yesterday, spotlights on Vincenzo Nibali: the Italian rider showed good legs compared to his rivals, but Team Sky’s youngsters, the overall leader Tao Geoghegan Hart and Russian Pavel Sivakov, do not want to give up, under the guidance of Chris Froome.
