Geoghegan Hart gives Team Sky TotA's opener in Kufstein

The Brit rider conquered Tour of the Alps' overall lead, by outsprinting Aranburu and Thalmann


Team Sky’s Tao Geoghegan Hart clinched victory in Tour of the Alps‘ stage 1 (Kufstein-Kufstein, 144 Km). The 24-year-old Brit rider outsprinted Spain’s Alex Aranburu (Caja Rural) and Switzerland’s Roland Thalmann (Team Voralberg), conquering the overall leadership.

Pello Bilbao (Astana) finishes fourth. Sixth place for Chris Froome (Team Sky), eighth Rafal Majka (Bora-Hansgrohe).
