Little more than six months from the conclusion of a spectacular 2021 edition, the Tour of the Alps is ready to unveil its cards for 2022, when from April 18th to 22nd, the best of World cycling will be back to compete on the roads of the Euregio Tirol – Südtirol/Alto Adige – Trentino. The course of the Tour of the Alps’ 45th edition will be presented to the stakeholders and the international media Friday 5 November at 11.30 CET at the Sala Buzzati in Milan (Via Balzan 3), Italy.
The finale in Riva del Garda on 23 April 2021, when Brit Simon Yates wore the final green jersey on the first step of the podium in front of Pello Bilbao and Aleksander Vlasov, is still vivid in the memory of cycling fans. It was the emotional conclusion of an edition full of significance, that of the restart after the year of COVID, in which the short Euroregional stage race perfectly expressed its original formula, made up of great protagonists – with 13 World Tour teams at the start – of short, spectacular and technical routes, and the beauty of the territories crossed.
After the successes of Yates, Pavel Sivakov, Thibaut Pinot and Geraint Thomas in recent years, in 2022 the G.S. Alto Garda aims to continue its exciting curve with renewed ambitions, once again giving two-wheel enthusiasts five days of great cycling on the Euregio roads.
